 Felt the need to add my review of this product especially having read a few negative reviews on this page. I've been using this cleanser ever since it came on the market & it is brilliant! Resurfaces the skin,minimises pores & fine lines & leaves the skin ultra clean. It is a powerful product (which is why it works!) but doesn't aggravate my skin at all now although it did make it slightly dry the first few days I used it. The few negative reviews on here seem to be because the reviewer didn't rinse the product off their skin! One even mentions leaving it on for the whole day & applying moisturiser on top of it! I find this totally bizarre,why on earth would you not rinse off a cleanser after applying it?! The reviews say the instructions on bottle were unclear but I've re-read them to be sure & it very clearly states that you should rinse product off after 30 seconds. The bottle hasn't changed since I started buying it & I'm certain the instructions have always made it very clear that this product should be rinsed off after use! Basically if you're considering buying this product you should not be concerned or put off by the few negative reviews on here,its a brilliant product & I highly recommend it!

My neck looks as though it has been burned, very dry and crepey.

OMG - Just used some of this which was in my friends bathroom - unbelievable difference with the first use. Now its on my xmas list.... can't wait. BRILLIANT could see a difference in my fine lines straight away

This product is a must in my skin care regime. I have previously had spot prone skin but now my skin is so smooth and soft and feels great. This product also lasts months as only a small amount needed so great value for money too.

Looking for a dual action product, I thought this would maybe do the trick - I wasn't disappointed! After only one week, my skin looks brighter and I've received many compliments on how healthy I look! I'm going to continue with this product and add to my regime with other Age Smart products. I would definitely recommend this, my skin's not looked this good for years!

I have a combination skin, this is the first cleanser I have used which leaves my skin feeling refreshed and really clean. I follow up with the mist which I think is the best product in the world!!!

I have dry and sensitive skin but this is not too harsha and it exfoliates beautifully and makes my skin feel really clean and ready for moisturisation. I love using this and it is very quick to use.

I am in my late 30's and asian. I have oily skin type. Someone told earlier it is harsh, but it is quite weak for me. If you have dry to normal skin type, it might works better. For me Dermalogica Age Smart Multivitamin Thermafoliant works better than this product.

I've been using this product once a day for a couple of years now and love it! It leaves my skin looking and feeling really clean and hydrated. I was very suprised to read the review re. a skin reaction - I always rinse after I've used this product and I've never had any problems at all. I woudl definitely recommend this to brighten your complexion.

I bought this about a year ago and because it is very strong I just use occasionally and usually rinse off rather than leaving on. Yesterday I used it in the morning and left on as per the instructions (following with my Dermalogica moisturiser. Within a few hours my skin was burning and very red and looked like I had had a chemical peel. I rinsed my face in cool water, washed with Ultra Calming Cleanser and applied Intensive Moisture Balance. The burning continued and redness bacame worse. I rinsed again with cool water and sprayed with the ultra calming spray. It got so bad later that I took an antihistamine and finally fell asleep. This morning I woke up to a face so swollen I could hardly open my eyes. The burning and redness has subsided but the swelling is bad! I have taken another (strong) antihistamine and if the swelling doesn't go in a couple of hours I have a doctors appointment. I have been using Dermalogica for 10 years and never had a reaction like this from any other product. I can oinly think that its because I did not rinse the cleanser off this time (although the instructions suggest that you leave it on). I am unhappy with the formula changes in the Ultra Calming Range and am seriously considering looking for a new product/brand in the new year.

This is the one of those products which I was looking for. When my skin is tired one day it really worked well. I have a super sensitive skin and have to be very careful when chosing a product. I use Age Smart Skin Resurfacing Cleanser once a day and I am very happy about the cleanser after using for 2 weeks. Recommended.

This cleanser is by far one of the best I have used and as usual with most Dermalogica products, they perform well and are very economic in the long run considering how good their efficancy actually is.
I am a male and find a lot of cleansers on the market are targeted at the female audience and those that are packaged and marketed at men are far to often gimicky and over perfumed with male cologne. They smell awful and are non effective.
I had been using Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel for many years but wanted a cleanser that had more oompf but not too harsh as I have sensitive skin.
I love this product as I find if I use it before shaving in the morning my shave is totally different a smooth results without any irritation and the upside is that the more I use this product, the better condition my skin has become and more healthy looking.

I'm 20 and was looking to really invest in my skincare regime, having heard great reviews of this product (particularly from Lisa Eldridge) this was my first try at a Lactic Acid based cleanser.
I have combination to oily skin, prone to occasional breakouts, blocked pores, excess oil and random dryness. Research tended to bring me to recommendations of this product for my skin type.
I must note - the bottle does not say to wash the product off, which I found confusing. The first time I used this I didn't wash it off (after much deliberation) and found that it caused extreme dry patches which have taken a while to clear up. This was my fault, not the product's, and now that I am using it correctly I am so excited about the results.
My pores are minimised after years of awful blackheads, oil production has hugely reduced and my skin tone and texture is much more even. I had planned to use this only a couple of times a week due to the high price (I am a student) though I am likely to use this more often - it really is worth the price.
I was also really impressed that BeautyFlash offered the choice of free samples as there were a number of other products I wanted to try. The samples will last a week or so and will therefore allow a good trial period.

It has taken years for me to find a skincare company who's products are actually backed up by science, based on nature and guarantee effectivness of their products!
To help you out:
I am 47 yrs old with slightly sensitive/combination, oily t-zone skin. A difficult skin type to find products for. I always used the old soap and water routine prior to finding Dermalogica.
This 'Skin Resurfacing Cleanser' does exactly as in the description. It cleanses and exfoliates gently. It is not harsh at all. The lactic acid -the AHA's we all hear about so often - does not sting.
Its pump action dispenser is great as no product is wasted and you can choose how much or little of the product you need. A little goes a long way.
How I use it:
I apply it to slightly damp skin on my face, but also my throat and the decolletage chest area. I leave the product on for about 30-60 seconds.
There is no irritation even on the delicate chest area. Then remove with a damp cloth and my skin is left looking and feeling extremely soft; no oily residue anywhere. The perfect balance of a cleanser and exfoliator in one.
The added bonus - it's quick to deliver results immediately, and over time your skin just keeps looking healthy. My 47 year old chest and throat areas look smooth and there is a definite refinement in texture and a silky feel.
I receive lovely comments that I look 26-34 yrs old! Who wouldn't want to hear that? Highly recommended product!

Really did make a difference to my skin, although I did develop quite a 'sensitivity' reaction to begin with. Don't be deterred, reduce use and build up again as tolerated....it really is worth it.
