 I don't know what I'd do if dermalogica ever stopped making this product. It is effective and soothing and a treat to use every day. Not cheap, but the large size lasts for ages, so cost effective in the long run

I was sent a sample of this cleanser, and it is utterly devine. My face and neck is (thankfully) in the late stages of recovering from a very scary allergic reaction where my face was so swollen, red and peeling even using water would sting and burn. I am very timid of what I put on my skin now, but this cleanser has calmed my nerves considerably. It is so smooth, soothing and gentle after a couple of days use and my dryness has eased and there is completely no redness or 'tightness' after use. I will be buying a bottle after I have used up the samples - only a small amount cleanses the whole face, so it's good value. So very pleased, thank you Dermalogica and the BeautyFlash team :)

This product is perfect for sensitive skin. I have been using Dermalogica ultra calming cleanser on my face and eyes for years now and I love it!! It is very gentle on the skin and not at all drying. It has a very creamy texture and a subtle fragrance. It is also great for removing eye make up although you need something a bit stronger if you wear waterproof mascara!!

Ultracalming Cleanser is a fabulous product! I've suffered with rosacea for several years, tried many different creams and even went to the GP and tried a prescription cream. It was only when I went for a facial with a Dermalogica specialist that she recommended various Dermalogica products but her advice to me was if I can only afford one product then this was the one to go for! I would highly recommend this as it's been a saviour to my skin, and I can now even go out in public without wearing foundation to cover up the redness because that has all disappeared! I wouldn't use anything else now!

I had a very bad skin condition caused by an allergic reaction to chemicals that lasted for fifteen months. Anything that I applied to the rash just made it worse. Finally I discovered that the Ultra Calming Cleanser had a wonderfully calming and soothing effect, it took a while but the ultra calming cleanser completely cleared the rash.

I've been using this cleanser for 1 month now and have got to say WOW!!!!!!!!!! It's cleared my spots and gotten rid of my redness! I was using the Dermal Clay Cleanser which is good but this is so much better, I use the Ultra Calming Mist alongside this and my skin is so much better,the soreness has completely disappeared, this has made my life so much easier, I won't be using anything else.

Having suffered from sore and itchy reactions from so many cleaners etc it is such a relief to have finally discoverd dermalogica. This cleaner is lovely. I have been using it for 10 months and have not had any soreness or reactions the whole time. It cleans my face beautifully and I am still using the same bottle that I bought back in December, so great value for money!

Fab! After using Dermalogica Barrier Repair, Skin Smoothing Cream and Multi Vitamin Power Firm for over a year, I had still not tried any of their cleansers as I had liked an old favourite of a competitor. However, my skin started to feel dry again after cleansing and I started to get milia around my eyes so time to try changing cleanser. I wish I had done it years ago as this cleanser leaves me feeling really clean and refreshed and not dried out before applying moisturisers. I am not one to normally leave a review but felt my time and effort well justified for a great product.

Ultracalming Cleanser is a fantastic product, it leaves your skin feeling silky and smooth, the 500ml is excellent value, giving optimal use for up to six months. Delighted with this cleanser. I have excema on my eyelids and have struggled for years to find anything that I can use that does not aggravate or irritate. Water irritated my eyes - and dried the skin even more. within a couple of weeks this product has healed my very damaged eyelids and given me a new lease of life on the beauty front - I no longer want (or have to) hide behind my sunglasses all year!! This is really a review of the UltraCalming range, rather than just the cleanser, since I tried four of the products at the same time.
My skin had been slightly irritated by products from another company and I thought 'serves me right for straying from Dermalogica but never mind, I'm sure their new UltraCalming products will sort it out for me'. I couldn't have been more wrong!
I ordered this cleanser, along with UltraCalming Mist, UltraCalming Serum Concentrate, and the Re-formulated Barrier Repair, and when they arrived I couldn't wait to try them.
I noticed some stinging and burning when I applied the products but put that down to the sensitised state of my skin. An hour later my face was burning, itching and very inflamed, far far worse than it had been before.
I tried them again the next morning (such was my faith in Dermalogica), but this time the burning was unbearable. Over £100 worth of products in the bin.
I've now ordered Essential Cleansing Solution, Multi Active Toner and Gentle Soothing Booster. Fingers crossed they will restore my faith in the brand.

I am very disappointed with the new Ultra Calming Cleanser. I've been using the old version for 2 years and never had any problem. Now that my bottle has finished I've decided to buy the new one. Used it only twice and I got the skin around my area flaking and very dry. I wasn't using any make-up or other facial products on these days. Ulta Calming Barrier Repair caused me the same problem. I'm scared to try the UltraCalming Mist. So disappointed Dermalogica discontinued the Soothing Protection Spray.

This product is manna from heaven for my skin. I have a typical English complexion but live in a warm climate, and my skin does not thrive out of its natural habitat! Perspiration, thick sunscreens and harsh sunshine have caused all sorts of problems in the past but Ultracalming Cleanser not only cleans and soothes my skin, it also manages to completely restore its natural resilience. I can't (and won't!) live without it, and am as happy with my skin now as I was a decade ago.

I absolutely love the products I use. I have always suffered with my skin and often felt paranoid leaving the house due to my red angry skin on my face. I tried several creams including Clinique, Lancome and Mary Kay items and in the first instance thought they worked but then the aggrevated skin always returned. I have even been under a skin specialist who couldnt help rectify my skin problem! My cousin who is a user and believer in Dermalogica advised me to use this and bought me a minature pack to try. I instantly loved the feel of the creams and recognised a difference in my skin within a couple of days. I have been using the products for at least a year now and my skin is great. I thought I was just going to get use to the idea of my angry skin and put up with it until I was introduced to Dermalogica. I am so grateful to my cousin for introducing me to the products but mostly would like to thank Dermalogica for making me a happier person and helping my skin to recover.

Lovely soft cleanser, no breakouts since using and is calming redness left from previous blemishes. If you tend to wear a lot of makeup i would recommend using Daily Microfoliant every other day for extra cleaning.

Once experienced, never without again! I love this cleanser. I have very sensitive skin,prone to blemishes and until I began using this I never felt my skin was ever really, truely cleansed. The effects were immediate when using Dermalogica's Ultra Calming Cleanser. My skin felt luxuriated, clean, wonderfully soft and healthy. I would never use anything else.

I suffer from rosacea and so am wary about trying new products. However I'm really glad I tried this cleanser as it's perfect for my skin. I've had no reaction to it and my skin is left feeling clean and smooth. Love it.

I love this product! I have been using it for years now and will not use anything else. I have eczema and this is the only cleanser i have ever used that does not aggravate my skin. It deserves 10 stars as far as I am concerned!!

Excellent cleanser for sensitive skin. It is versatile in that you can use it as a cream cleanser for eyes as well or use it with water. Nourishing cleanser. I have been using it for years. I love it.

This product is extremely gentle and removes my make up really effectively. I have rosacea so have to go very carefully with new products, but have been using this for some months now and it really does what is says on the tin! It leaves my face clean without being tight, and seems to help stop breakouts. Really excellent product.

With its ultra calming ingredients this products is excellent for removing make up with or without water so it is great when you are always 'on the go'. Its soft and gentle on the skin and leaves it feeling silky and clean.
