August 2017: Embrace co-ords this autumn

Matching two-pieces are set to be one of autumn’s biggest trends: follow the lead of these three A-listers and start wearing yours now!

Whether you pick a matching skirt and top, wear your PJs outside the house or plump for a tailored shirt and trousers in the same print, the “two-piece” or co-ord is a head-turner.

It’s a bold look, so you need some fashion confidence to wear it – but the results are well worth your courage. The brighter or more statement making the match (the same prints and embellishments, rather than just colours) the more striking the look will be.

And to make the look perfect, co-ord your hair and make-up. So, if you’re wearing pyjamas, go for messy hair and minimal make-up. Trying a bright yellow bird print skirt with matching blouse? Then experiment with yellow eyeshadow.

We love Zendaya’s take on the look. Her pyjama suit looks so cool with voluminous, natural hair, smoky “come to bed” eyes and nude pumps.

Rihanna went for a red carpet co-ord at the Paris premiere of Valerian; matching shoes, accessories and make-up make this perfectly pink Prada outfit pop.

Rita Ora pulled-off wearing her silver PJs as daywear by breaking up the co-ord with a (matching) silver vest. The tousled “just-got-out-of-bed” hair, oversized retro sunnies and layered accessories give this gorgeous look heaps of pizzazz. It’s an absolute winner as autumn approaches.
