Game of tones

To mark the (controversial) finale of Game of Thrones (we’re so here for the fan drama…), we celebrate four of the cast members’ most iconic beauty moments

Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen)

Emilia has been blonde and brunette IRL – but we love her standout 2018 Golden Globes moment with a strong platinum tone. Although she’s uber-glam, with the severe middle parting, popping pink pout and heavy blush, there’s a less-polished touch thanks to her bushy brows and natural shine. All hail the queen!

Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister)

Lena’s short hair is fierce on and off the show – but we loved her look in 2016 when she proved you can rock short locks in an up-do! With the help of several hundred bobby pins, and lots of finger twisting, Lena’s usually tousled style looks all kinds of elegant when pinned into place. Her orange eyeshadow kills it in terms of highlighting her green eyes, too.

Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark)

Sophie isn’t a natural redhead (she famously had to dye her hair every week on the show) but she rocks the fiery look on and off the GoT set. We loved the iconic crown braid she wore for the season six premiere – with a clashing pink dress, gold choker and smoky eyes, this look is everything.

Natalie Dormer (Margaery Tyrell)

Natalie’s golden waves were sizzling at the Season 8 premiere in spring 2019. Set alight by her gorgeous Giorgio Armani black silk column dress, her swept back hair gave the look a real edge, making sure she was an elegant fashion force. Focusing her make-up on the eyes, with dramatic blending to the outer corners, also helped to draw attention to her gorgeous heart-shaped face.
