The Golden Globes’ red carpet is always a good source of inspiration and we loved Cate Blanchett’s ethereal vibe – it took us back to her Lord of the Rings days, with a 2020 twist. Delicate yet voluminous, her hair was curled in sections before being brushed out and held in a knot at the back with Bobby pins. Use a light fixing spray to hold this ‘do’ in place – and make sure you leave a few flyaways so the finish isn’t too sculpted.
Selena Gomez debuted an edgier idea for the New Year: her blunt side fringe is not for the fainthearted. Framing the face, and 1960s inspired, this sharp and elegant hair trick is a perfect match for winged eyeliner and full brows. Pale pink lips and stellar statement earrings finish a mature and supremely stylish look.
Back to the ‘Globes and another red carpet moment we loved was Lucy Boynton’s. She rocked a blunt bob and ‘negative space’ winged eyeliner. Negative space flicks are a massive trend right now and Lucy added a glamorous touch by embellishing the gaps with crystals: talk about a ‘wow’ effect. Untamed brows and just-visible roots complete Lucy’s standout 2020 styling.
