Step 1: Double Cleaning
The dynamic duo of precleansing dreams and your first step of your routine is Dermalogica PreCleanse and Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel.
Dermalogica Precleanse is the ideal pre-cleansing treatment for a deep cleanse. The cleanser melts excess oils without damaging the skin’s natural defences, and acts as a great make-up remover for long-wear mascara and lipstick. Precleanse is the first part of your double cleansing regimen, and protects skin from external aggressors and irritation.
How do I use it?
- Remove eye make up by dispensing Precleanse onto damp cotton wool
- Dispense a generous amount into the palms of your hands and rub hands together warming the product
- Starting at the neck, spread Precleanse across your face by using light, upward sweeps with your fingertips
- Continue by circling your chin and cheeks, paying special attention to the T-zone
- Use one fingertip on either side of your nose, circling downwards
- Circle between your eyebrows and continue circling over the forehead
- Wet your hands and massage over Precleanse to create a light, milky emulsion
Once you have pre-cleansed your skin, you should follow with Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel, this iconic cleanser deeply cleanses without disrupting skins natural defences and moisture balance. This gentle cleanser is enriched with balm mint to calm and soothe the skin whilst lavender also provides antiseptic benefits and helps to purify the skin.
How do I use it?
- Pour a small amount of Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel onto dampened hands
- Apply to wet face and throat
- Work into a deep cleansing lather, concentrating on areas of congestion and oiliness
- Cleanse entire face and throat and rinse well with tepid water and repeat if necessary
Step 2: Smoothing and Brightening
Next up you have the queen of face exfoliator’s, Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant is an award-winning and long-standing firm favourite amongst Dermalogica fans. Formulated with a unique skin brightening complex of rice, grapefuit and liquorice to balance uneven pigmentation, this fine powder not only buffs away dry and dead skin cells but helps accelerates cell renewal to a healthier, refreshed and radiant complexion.
How do I use it?
- Cleanse face and throat twice with your prescribed Dermalogica cleanser
- Dispense about half a teaspoon of Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant powder into wet hands and create a creamy paste
- Apply to your face in circular motions avoiding contact with your eyes
- Massage gently for one minute and then rinse thoroughly
A newer member of the Dermalogica family, Dermalogica Dark Spot Serum is an advanced formula that begins to diminish the appearance of uneven pigmentation.
